New goodness on Etsy - from Housewares to Ephemera!

As hard as it is to believe, the holiday shopping season is right around the corner! Where has this year GONE? It boggles my mind. Anyway, we've been working on stocking up the Etsy shop with goodies, so those holiday shoppers have plenty to choose from. We have LOTS more left to list of course - but isn't that always the case? ;)

Here's just a few of my favorite new things in the Housewares and Decor section:

I've been slowly tackling the huge backlog of ephemera I have to list too - talk about a never ending task!

Keep your fingers crossed that we can get the rest of everything we want listed up in time for Christmas - if anyone has a cloning machine drop me an email, I could really use it about now! ;)

New goodness at auction on eBay this week!

eBay had ANOTHER listing fee sale this week - just one week after their penny listing fee sale, they had a FREE listing day! I was so glad I hadn't moved my unsold auctions to the store yet, so I was able to give them another run - a few with lower starting bids even. (Including the Hilda pin-up calendar - poor Hilda, no one seems to want her! I don't understand...)

I did list some new goodies though too, of course:

As always, click on over to check out the rest!

(I will hopefully be back tomorrow to show off some of the stuff I've been listing straight into my stores both on Etsy and eBay - we are working hard to be fully stocked for holiday shopping!)

Holy Grail Score! - Vintage Hilda Pin-Up Girl Calendar

I had a holy grail score this weekend - don't you just love those days? I was digging through a box of paper at an estate sale and saw a little peek of red hair... I pulled it out of the box, and almost fainted straight away - a vintage Hilda pin-up girl calendar! She is my absolute favorite, and I've been hoping to find one for YEARS. She is maybe the only curvy vintage pin-up, and all of the drawings have a great sense of fun, without making fun of her size. And of course they are a little sexy too! ;)

It is from 1963, and has 7 pages, each with a different Hilda scene. From what I could see from what has been listed online lately, they are a little hard to find complete like this - they were often taken apart.

As with any holy grail score I had to fight with myself about whether to keep it or to sell it... This time my practical side won out, and it is currently listed at auction on eBay.

If you haven't seen Hilda before, be sure to run on over to ToilGirls.com and check out not only some history and a gallery of Hilda art, but also an interview with Duane Bryers, her creator. Thank you Mr. Bryers for giving us Hilda - she rocks!!
