This weekend's thrift scores!

I went to one estate sale on Friday, and a few regular garage sales on Saturday - overall I didn't bring a whole lot home, but what I did find is pretty good, so I can't complain!

The red and turquoise butterfly string art was hanging in the basement at the estate sale, so it needs cleaned up - keep your fingers crossed for me, it might be a little tricky! The bear was made in Italy - I think it is a soap dish? It was too weird to leave behind. ;) I found FOUR old safety razors, which are always good sellers, and the wire napkin holder is too cool. The Spice Of Life utensil set was a neat find, and then I grabbed two bags of flatware - one is a huge set of black handled Eldan made in Japan, the other set isn't marked with a brand but was also made in Japan and has a pretty Rose design on it. Also in there were some Epic Prince serving pieces, which are pretty great.

Last but not least is this adorable pair of prints signed Medeiros - I haven't looked around to see if I can find any information on them yet...

This weekend's thrift scores!

I found a few things this weekend - not a ton, but some fun stuff, including a mystery item I need your help with!

I FINALLY found a Burwood word clock (not the CLOCK one - I will keep that if I ever find it!). I haven't tested it yet to see if it works, so keep your fingers crossed for me! Besides that, I scored a Betty Crocker's New Picture Cookbook (check out some of these sold prices and you will see why I never leave one of those behind!). The gingerbread man cookie jar, lighted Christmas tree topper, and Josef Originals Santa & Mrs. Claus shaker set were fun finds all from the same estate sale... And finally a box of 1970's Chemex coffee filters - hopefully someone with a vintage Chemex coffee maker will want some original filters to go with it!

Hiding in the back behind the cool glass bottles with cork lids is a really nice Denby coffee pot, and a Sun Tea jar. Up front is a neat vintage mirror/brush/comb set, and a West Bend slow cooker. The final item is the one I need some help with:

It's a quite large vintage Orange Slice serving tray - it is made of either paper mache or a very lightweight wood, and looks hand decorated. It is signed, but I can't make out what it says:

I did some searching around but couldn't find another one like it - if any of you have any ideas, please do leave a comment and let me know!

As always, if there is anything here that you are interested in, just drop me a line at vintagegoodness@gmail.com!

New goodness on eBay and Etsy this week!

I got sidetracked this week and didn't get a chance to do a haul post showing what I found out at the sales last weekend - but luckily, I got almost everything listed this week, both on eBay and on Etsy. So settle in, I've got quite a lot to show you! Have I mentioned how happy I am that sale season is finally here? ;)

New goodness at auction on eBay this week!

I got most everything listed that I posted about in my thrift score post last weekend, except for a couple things I set aside to list on Etsy, before I promptly lost the inventory sheets for them. I'm sure I put them somewhere "safe" so I wouldn't lose them, and now I can't remember where that "safe" spot is... So I'll have to write up new sheets probably, get them listed - and then immediately remember where I put the first batch.

I also listed a few other things that I've had on my would-you-list-me-already-I've-been-sitting-here-for-months shelves, but those shelves are looking pretty bare as of now, as they do every year at this time. Of course I have a metric ton of paper waiting to be listed on Etsy, as always... Plus, I had another good weekend shopping some estate sales and church sales, so I'll have fresh new stuff to list next week - stay tuned for a thrift score post on all that tomorrow!
