New goodness at auction on eBay this week!
I did a slightly better job getting auctions up this week, and I've got some cool stuff, if I do say so myself! :)

New goodness at auction on eBay this week!
I got a few auctions listed this week, and I also started listing a big lot of vintage Playboy Vargas Girl pin-ups on Etsy - look for a whole post on them next week, once I get them all listed. I've been shopping every weekend of course, since we are smack dab in the middle of sale season here in Ohio. I've not been good about putting up a haul post of what I've found, the weekends are so busy I'm doing good to get everything checked in and onto the incoming inventory shelves! :)

The Great House Project of 2013 - Meet my new couch!
The great house project is coming along - very, very slowly, as I figured it would. I did manage to tick one item off of the to-do list though - score a new couch! I actually got it a few weeks ago, showed it off on Facebook, then promptly forgot to come over here to the blog and do the same.
I won it at an online auction, for $70. It looks like it was never used - I'm guessing it was the "good" couch in some little Grandma's house, the one that sat in the living room no one was ever allowed to use. Maybe even with plastic over it. Will says he thinks it was a funeral home couch - needless to say I don't think he is a fan of the upholstery pattern! ;) I like it, but really it doesn't matter, because I have a chocolate brown sofa cover to put over it to protect it from doggie feet.
The tag inside says Franklin Furniture Company, a subsidiary of The Stearns And Foster Company. And there is another tag that says Leugers Fine Furniture, Cincinnati Ohio.
This is the photo that was in the auction listing.

New goodness at auction on eBay this week!
Sadly it's looking like we might be without power for the next few days, if the weathermen are right and the huge wind storm they are predicting comes through later tonight... So, I figured I'd better do a quick post now to show what I've listed at auction this week so far!
First and foremost are these amazing vintage apothecary jars - honestly, I've drooled over similar ones for years now and never really expected to find any myself. They just aren't all that common! But, I lucked out last weekend - and at a regular old garage sale too, really the last place I would expect something like this to show up! Check them out:

I just can't get over the contrast between the hardcore drug names and the dainty flower designs underneath of them - they are too perfect!
Here's a few other random goodies I got listed as well:
If you are in the path of the storm, stay safe!!

New goodness on eBay this week - a whole lot of vintage owls!
I hit a sale a couple weeks ago, and there were two huge tables packed with vintage owls - someone was a serious collector! I cherry picked the collection, snatching up my favorites... They are all at auction on eBay now, hopefully another collector or two can add them to their stash. :)
