Here is a brief intro to the show, and a couple of video clips so you can see what it is all about...
Every day in America, there are over ten thousand abandoned storage units that are put up for public auction. Each unit has the potential to be a goldmine or a bust for those who make their living hunting unclaimed property. This eight half-hour episode series follows two of the best prospectors in the business, Clinton "Ton" Jones and Allen Haff, in their quest to win auctions, acquire treasure and sell it for profit.
I'll definitely be on my couch on Tuesday night - I can't wait to see what kind of treasures they find!
OOOOoo! I don't watch Spike and the hub wouldn't have noticed, so I'd have never known! Yay, thanks!
ReplyDeleteAlan used to be the "Yard Sale Guy" on Clean House. I can't remember what channel that show is on since apparently my dish package doesn't cover that one anymore. That used to be a favorite show to watch Nici(sp?) Nash give the home owners a slap on the head for being such pigs. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good show! I'll have to tell my family, they are in the auction business too! I think all these shows coming out about auctions, junking and garage sales are a true sign that the second-hand economy is gaining strength. People are returning to trading, bartering and dealing because the big box stores no longer serve their unique needs and lifestyles.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I'll have to catch the repeat. We are addicted to Sons of Anarchy at 10pm on Tuesdays!
ReplyDeleteLoving this show. I know a guy who does this - buys storage units and fills his shop. It's tempting to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteOh man, this show looked like it was going to be interesting, but after watching just a few minutes of it I could clearly tell it is staged. All the good antique and money making items are placed in the middle of the junk. Not to mention the have good actors to play the part as the "auction hunters".
