Vintage Christmas Goodness Blowout!

It took a while, but I finally got my entire Christmas stash listed! There is way too much for me to show everything here, just click on over if you want to check it all out. I will show you some of my favorites here though - so many things were VERY hard to part with! I did set aside a few things to try in my antique mall booth also - which, by the way, a booth update post is LONG overdue, so hopefully I'll get that up in the next couple of days. Whew - no rest for the wicked, as they say!

(the Ladybug and Dragonfly almost stayed with me, too cute!)

New goodness at auction on eBay this week!

I only listed a few auctions this week, but I have a good reason - I have been plowing through the HUGE vintage Christmas stockpile I have to list. If I remember correctly, last year was kind of a bad year for finding Christmas stuff, but this year more than made up for it - when I got it all out to get it ready to list, I was really surprised at how much I have scored! My plan is to have a massive listing marathon on Sunday, so that all the auctions end on the same day. Wish me luck, hopefully I can get it all done!

Here is what I got listed this week, stay tuned for the big Christmas post next week! :)

I found some Ramona paper dolls! Plus a bit of vintage Beverly Cleary nostalgia...

Beverly Cleary was my favorite author as a kid, I read and re-read her books, especially the Ramona books, until they were ready to fall apart. Once I outgrew her, I moved onto my next favorite author - Judy Blume. I'll save discussing her for another time - both of them deserve to not have to share the blog post spotlight!

Yesterday I was browsing around in the antique mall that is across the street from the one I have my booth in, and this caught my eye:

Ramona paper dolls! It was only $5.00, so there was no way I could leave it behind. I don't remember ever seeing it before, even though it is from 1983, which was probably around the time I was at the height of my Beverly Cleary addiction. All the dolls and outfits are complete inside too, what a score!

I rarely pick stuff up to keep for myself, but you better believe this is going on my bookshelf. I think my old Beverly Cleary paperbacks are all still at my parent's house, so I am happy to be able to add these paper dolls to my little collection.

If you want some for your own, I did find a few available on eBay right now, most of them for $10 or less, which is awesome!

Of course looking around for the paper dolls led me to looking for the Ramona books I remember from my childhood, and I found quite a few of those are floating around out there too:

Besides Ramona, there were the Henry Huggins books, the Ralph S. Mouse books, Mitch And Amy, and a lot more. Here's a complete list, courtesy of Wikipedia. She also wrote two memoirs, I just discovered as I was searching around - A Girl From Yamhill and My Own Two Feet. How I missed those I have no idea, I'll be reading them in the near future for sure!

New goodness on eBay & Etsy this week!

This week was all about attacking my backlog of smalls - you know, the smaller and/or less valuable items that find their way home with me but tend to get put on the back back burner in favor of listing bigger and/or more valuable items. Instead of boxing them all up to carry them to the new upstairs office, I decided to just get them listed - and I made a decent dent, if I do say so myself! Of course I didn't get ALL of them done, but hey, progress is progress! I imagine I'll have more to show you next week too, if all goes according to plan...

I listed some things at auction on eBay, some things at fixed price on eBay, and some things on Etsy - too much to show you everything here, so I'll just show you a few of my favorites. If you want to see everything just click on over, those links will take you there!
