Taking off my AuctionWally co-host hat...

Yesterday was a sad day here in Vintage Goodness land... I made the decision to step down from my role as co-host of the AuctionWally show. It's been a great 8 months doing the show with Walt, and I will miss it terribly!

My business partner and main squeeze, Will, went and got a job. I know, the nerve! Ok, not really - it's actually good news - an infusion of steady money will make things a lot less stressful here in our little world. The bad news is that it means I have to take on some of the work he usually does.

I sat at my computer and tried to figure out a reasonable schedule to fit everything that I need to do into my week this week - and failed miserably. That was when I knew something had to give.

The podcast was the last "extra-curricular" activity I had on my plate, so as sad as it made me, I let Walt know that I will just be a loyal listener from now on. :(

eBay Exec Usher Lieberman tonight on a special episode of the AuctionWally Show!

Yep, the AuctionWally show is having a special Thursday edition this week - Walt will be interviewing Usher Lieberman from eBay! How exciting is that?

I've been lax on promoting our new shows on Talkshoe (Tuesday nights, 8pm!) but I am going to try to do better, I promise! I had to make sure you all heard about this one though - it should be great!

If so, then you'll want to tune in to a special edition of the AuctionWally Show this evening at 5:30 PM EST to listen to a live interview I'll be conducting with eBay's Usher Lieberman, the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications for eBay.

As an eBay seller for 10 years, mostly of antiques and collectibles via the auction format, I've been impacted by eBay's many recent changes as much as anyone.

I've been up and down in Powerseller status and have gone from fanboy to critic and back several times. (Just see some of the back articles of this column.)

After an article I'd written in December, I was contacted by eBay and asked if I would be interested in doing an interview with Usher Lieberman. I of course stated that I was, but only if the questions were not fed to me by eBay. I indicated that I would be fair, but would have some tough questions.

I was told that was fine and in fact, they were contacting me because they wanted input from someone who had a lot of experience on the site, but was not just a cheerleader.

Holiday Selling Tips - Tonight on the AuctionWally Show - 9pm EST

This weekend Walt and I recorded episode 36 of the AuctionWally show - a mini course on selling for the holidays! This is a new way of doing the show for us, we had been doing them live on Blog Talk Radio, but we decided to give recording and editing a try... we will still upload the show every Monday night at 9pm EST, and if we want to have a show with special guests or call-ins we will still use BTR.

We talked about several kinds of Christmas collectibles on the show, and I thought it might be nice to have a Flipping Vintage post on the Vintage List blog as a reference to go with the recorded information. I made a list of some of the best sellers to talk about on the show, so I went down the same list there and linked to some current eBay listings so you can see them!

I am so excited for the show Monday night! The lovely and inspiring Pam from Retro Renovation is going to be our special guest - plus it is the first time that I will be doing an interview on the show!
