The Photography Of Vivian Maier

This story is every junker's dream - a trip to an auction that ends in the score of a lifetime - literally. John Maloof, who was working on a book about Chicago, bought a lot of photo negatives that came from a delinquent storage unit. They turned out to be a lifetime's worth of work - over 100,000 images - of an amateur street photographer named Vivian Maier.

Since his discovery, he has put in countless hours and a big chunk of his own money processing her work. It has to be an overwhelming responsibility - but what treasure hunter among us wouldn't love to have been the one to make this discovery? It's mind boggling.

He has an account set up on Kickstarter to take donations for a book and documentary that he is working on about Vivian's life and work. I can't wait for both!

I've Got Domino Magazine Back Issues - Finally!

I think I have been looking for a stash of Domino magazines for well over a year now, and I FINALLY found one... It even had the first issue, plus 4 more issues from 2005 - which are all at auction together now as one lot!

The rest I listed at fixed price in my store - click on over to see all that I have - a few have sold already, so get them while the gettin's good :)

(I listed a lot of cool magazines over the last couple of days actually, including a few mid-century modern design mags - very hard to part with, that's for sure...)

Update: All my Domino issues are sold - they didn't last long! Check out eBay to see who else is selling them right now by clicking below:
