I need YOUR help! - The Vintage Goodness blog, 2014 and beyond...

Hi everyone! I've been thinking about the blog lately, and what I would like to do with it in 2014. With the new antique mall booth project, and the responses I got on my last post about it telling me there are folks out there who dig hearing about the "nuts and bolts" of it all, I'm wondering - would you all like to see more posts about the selling side of things in general?

I used to do posts about selling here, as well as on the blog for The Vintage List and another blog I started a couple years ago that was actually focused on the selling side of things. I enjoy sharing that kind of information, but decided that maintaining two separate blogs was more than I had time to handle. Since then I've not done much writing that is focused on selling - what I would like to know is, would you all like to see me add that as a category here on the Vintage Goodness blog?

I know I have a lot of fellow vintage sellers as readers, and I know that I also have readers that are buyers / collectors only. Can I craft content for both segments of readers, here in one place, and make it work? What do you all think? Leave a comment on this post - I'm wide open to your honest opinions and ideas!

My wife and I were just commenting on this very subject this evening while heading to a Christmas party.

Yes, yes, yes and yes.... As the whole idea of buying & selling appeals to both sides!

One, the buyer needs to know what's out there, how to find items to purchase, how they might get made, or their history, etc....

Yet, the seller also needs info as to what to sell, who potential buyers might be, what price points to look at per item and just the whole gamut of things that are needed to market & sell anything in today's crowded marketplace.

We are real estate developers with a project in Branson, MO called Branson Cedars Resort and we build and sell Treehouses, Log Cabins and Storybook Cottages all with a "retro" theme and use vintage, repurposed items throughout all our offerings.

So for us "junking" and acquiring vintage items to use around our 133 acre resort is a passion - and finding out from sites like yours the Who, What, Where, Why & How is really crucial to our success. Our guests LOVE everything and anything we do that's retro or vintage!

So, the more you educate both the buyer & the seller about your craft and business model - the better off everyone will be including those of us who just love mixing old & new in everything we do. We in essence are both a buyer and a seller.

Keep up the great work and we eagerly await what comes next from all of the bloggers we follow regarding this subject matter.

All information is useful to someone if it's factual and delivered in an exciting, fun manner - so again our comment is unequivocally YES to doing more about both buying & selling Vintage on your site.
