New goodness up for auction on eBay this week!

We managed to do much better this week getting some auctions listed - just in time too, because I bought a TON of stuff out at the sales yesterday... This week coming up should be another "get it listed" type of week!

Ok, let's take a look at a few of my favorites that are up right now...

(I think this might have been a promo item, I couldn't find another one like it anywhere on the web!)

Vintage Unused Patchwork Photo Album Scrapbook Spiders (Not only is the outside of this awesome, the inside has divider pages that are decorated with spider webs! Click the link to see all the photos...)

Ok, ok, I will stop now... it's so hard when pretty much everything is my favorite! hehe Just click on over if you want to see everything else! :)

Featured Collectible - Ransburg Pottery & Metalware

I'm sure I have mentioned my love of Ransburg somewhere on here before. I love it so much, in fact, that I started a Flickr group for Ransburg a while back, that is unfortunately still pretty small (only 15 members?!?). I guess Ransburg love isn't quite as universal as I was hoping it was...

I did find one collector site for Ransburg, The Ransburg Collection - it looks like it hasn't been updated lately, but it still has a TON of great info, more than I could give you in one blog post!

I don't find Ransburg items all that often, so when I do see it I snatch them up. I found a canister set last weekend, which inspired me to do this post - here it is, currently at auction on eBay:

Cute or what? I don't think I've ever seen a Ransburg design that I didn't like... They produced a lot of metalware, as well as hand painted stoneware pottery pieces, right during that mid-century timeframe that is so hard to resist. Their style is very distinctive, once you have seen a few pieces you can usually spot them a mile away. They are also very often marked with the distinctive paint palette logo, which is a great help!

Let's have a look around and see what all is out there at the moment, shall we?

(uh oh, this matches the pattern I have in my kitchen - kind of wish I hadn't of seen this one...)

(A black poodle trash can? Are you kidding me? *drool*)

And on that note, I have got to quit or my PayPal account is going to be mysteriously empty come tomorrow morning. Mushrooms and butterflies on avocado green? You're killing me Ransburg, just killing me. ;)

Industrial Chic & Medical Geek - New At Auction This Week!

Sorry, I couldn't resist the rhyming. ;)

We didn't get many auctions listed this week - other projects ate up a good chunk of time, as tends to happen every once in a while... Hopefully this coming week will be more productive, my "to be listed" pile is growing - which is never a bad thing!

Most of what I did list falls into Industrial Chic or Medical Geek categories - hence the title of this post! Plus a few other goodies thrown in there for good measure - check it out:

(I literally unscrewed this beauty from the wall at an estate sale last weekend - after scrounging through the entire house looking for a screwdriver! Sooo worth it, click on through to check out the close up of the little cutout stars design on the shade! *swoon*)

(This jar is kind of a mystery - it looks like other Hazel Atlas cold cream jars I've seen, but the spring style dispenser I haven't seen before - there is a hole in the lid so you can push down on the spring... Anyone have any ideas?)

(I love these more than words can describe...)

And that's it! Not much, but all good stuff... :)

Collection Complete - Vintage Better Homes & Gardens Decorating Books

I did it! It only took a few years, but I have successfully thrifted all the vintage Better Homes & Gardens binder style decorating books. Check it out:

Last weekend I found the elusive 1956 turquoise cover one at an estate sale for 50 cents (!!). Technically my collection was complete then, but since I had the gold boxed version of the 1961 edition rather than the black cover version, I thought well, I will try to get that too - and then I will be content.

So what do I find this weekend at an estate sale for $1.00? Yep - the last piece of the puzzle. The thrifting gods were on my side!

Now I just need to start scanning pages...

Hooray for Spring! Tons of AMAZING new goodness up for grabs!

Like I mentioned the other day, last weekend was my first really good weekend of shopping out at the sales - I came home with so much great stuff I was positively giddy! After a long winter it was SO nice to be out in the nice weather treasure hunting again...

So, be prepared, this is going to be a long post - I'm in love with so much of what I found that I won't be able to leave much out... ;) As always, click the photos to enlarge, or click the link under the photo to go check out the listing and see all the other photos!

(These are nice and large - 14"x30" - they would be so awesome over a couch!)

(You don't know how hard it is for me to part with this... WOW.)

(I already have one of these, or it wouldn't be for sale!)

(These are such a must have for a mid century decor!)

(This typewriter is SO NICE - and it has the coveted glass keys, in an unusual shape!)

(Another really, really want to keep score... *sigh*)

(I've never seen a double one before!)

Ok, I've worn myself out... lol There is more though, click on over if you want to see the rest! And wish me luck - I have a big day of shopping tomorrow... :D
