New goodness at auction on eBay - plus vintage purses!

No eBay listing fee sale this week :( but I did list several auctions, and I need to show off the vintage purses I listed straight into my store at fixed price with best offer... You guys do all realize that pretty much EVERYTHING in my eBay store has the best offer button on it, right? :)

AUCTIONS

As always these are just some of my favorites - click on over to check out the rest! :)

PURSES

Yep, you guessed it - this isn't all of them, click on over to check out the rest. And stay tuned, I have more purses to list, hopefully very soon! :)

New goodness up at auction on eBay this week!

eBay had ANOTHER penny auction listing fee sale - I couldn't believe it! The first one must have gone over pretty well for them if they decided to have another one so soon... Here's hoping it is something they decide to do every couple weeks, or better yet, make it a permanent fee change! A girl can dream, right?

Anyway we got some great stuff listed, including FOUR pieces of what I am pretty sure is Bitossi pottery I scored last weekend. :)

There's more - click on over to check out the rest! :)

Featured Collectible - Vintage Mug Shot Photos

I have a new mini-obsession - vintage mug shot photos. Kind of weird I know... It all started when I stumbled across a blog post on Adore Vintage about a collection of vintage police photos from Sydney, Australia, that included several mug shots of both men and women. This one I fell in love with completely:

This is not your typical mug shot obviously, but WOW - what an amazing photo! So of course I had to start poking around at other old mug shots... You know how this goes, it is kind of like Alice falling down the rabbit hole... There are more out there available for sale than I would have thought, and they are just ripe for collecting! You could create some really unique displays with them, gather them together in an old album, catalog them all online... Can you tell I've daydreamed about them just a little? ;)

It's the faces that really get me with these - you can't help but look at them and wonder what the person did that landed them in trouble, and what their histories and personal stories are... It's a whole different vibe than what you get from most vintage photographs, that inherent element of mystery makes them just that much more interesting!

Here's a few that are on eBay right now that I really like:

1965 Press Photo Esther Jones Mugshot Found Murdered

Real Photo Copy 1890s CDV John Dolan Mug Shot

Mug Shot Card Photo November 18, 1895

As if these weren't cool enough, LarkenDesign over on Etsy scored some mug shot negatives that they are making into prints and posters! This one is my favorite:

Also on Etsy are some old mug shot greeting cards that crack me up, like this one from TheFoundRetail:

If I ever find some of these when I am out junking, I will definitely be snatching them up!

My vintage costume jewelry inventory is up for grabs!

Update - the lot is SOLD! :)

Ok peeps, here's the deal - I've decided to get out of the vintage costume jewelry biz. The reasons are many and varied, but the result is that I've decided to sell my entire stockpile of jewelry in one big lot! I was originally thinking I would list it at auction on eBay, but when I started to work on getting it ready to list, I realized I was looking at hours and hours of work... Not fun!

So, I thought I would offer it up here instead... if you love old jewelry and you want to score some for yourself on the super cheap, this is a great opportunity! Or, if you are a dealer, this is your chance to buy a whole lot of pieces to resell for a tiny investment.

I don't know how many pieces I have total - a rough guess would be between 100 and 200... Some of it was listed on Etsy for a while, some of it I never got around to listing. Most of the pieces are unsigned, but there are a few signed ones - Sarah Coventry, Monet, Trifari, Gerry's, Avon, and Coro are a few of the brands I think are in there, and there could be a few others.

There is a good selection of pins and brooches, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets (including a couple charm bracelets). Here is the first bit I got photographed - just the tip of the iceberg (click to enlarge):

I'm asking $150.00 for the whole lot - and shipping is included in that price. Whatta deal, huh? The first person to email me at vintagegoodness@gmail.com gets it, so don't wait! :)
