It's got some wear and tear but told me my weight the exact same as my digital scale at home (though it could have been nice and shaved off a few pounds if it was so inclined!). I hadn't ever bought a bathroom scale to sell before, so I got it to give it a try.
A few days later as I was going through the vintage fashion magazines I got at the same sale, I happened to see this ad:

Anyway, a quick search for these online only brought two results - the first is from one of my fellow vintage Etsy sellers:

Can you believe that price? One of you had better snap that deal up while it lasts!!
The second is from a seller on eBay - is this one supposed to be "motivational" as well?
I did find a few other cool scales listed - they would all fit into a retro styled bathroom quite nicely!

Maybe for my next post I'll look at vintage shower curtains to go with these? ;)

those are all darling! i need to get a cute, vintage scale. weighing myself would be so much more enjoyable! :-)
I'm not really sure how I am currently living without that owl scale.
Oh God!! I want that owl scale!! Waaaah!
Great post, I see bathroom scales all the time at estate sales but nothing as fab as the one above (I really want that owl one!)
I saw a vintage bathroom scale with a pig on it a couple months back. I even went back to look at it again and still didn't buy it. Now I am kicking myself. Come for a visit. ~ Happy Friday ~ Lynn
I am loving the retro bathroom scales
OMG, I would do something foolish for one of those scales. Something really foolish! My uncle and his girlfrind had a scale very much like the American themed one but if I recall it was like the american flag. (this would have been 74-75 when I was around 7 years old)
I broke down and bought the owl scale. I'll take pictures of the scale in it's new habitat once I get it. Thanks for writing about vintage awesomeness!
Oh YAY!!! It really was a great deal, drop a line when you post the photos and I will link to them! :)
I love the collection of scales you have, they're amazing. I am currently on a vintage scale kick and re-furbishing them. Would love to know what people think of this one I just finished:
