A handful of auction goodness on eBay this week...
We didn't get a whole lot up at auction last week, with the holiday and all... it was so nice to take a little break and hang out with our families! eBay had a one day half off auction style listings sale, so we made sure to take advantage of that and listed a few goodies:

Christmas Craft Books Winner + Newsletter Ideas
We have a winner of the Christmas Craft Book Giveaway - Trase from Kitschicat's Den on Etsy! Congrats Trase, I'll be emailing you in a moment for your address so I can get your books on their way!I got some outstanding suggestions for newsletter content from everyone who entered - thanks so much for your ideas, you don't know how much I appreciate them! Here are some of my favorites:

You guys really came through with a ton of awesome ideas! I hope to address all of these (and more!) in the newsletter.
I think I am going to try to send them out every 2 weeks, on the 1st and the 15th of the month. I'm working on a new format, using the ideas that were sent in plus a few of my own, so that there will be several "sections" of regular content in each issue. So look for the next on on December 1st, with all the new goodness inside! :)

New eBay Auction Goodness - Purses & More!
Last weekend I took photos of all the vintage purses I have collected this season - around 30 in all! They are all up for auction right now, here are a few of my favorites:

I did list a few other things besides purses - we have been working very hard to get all of the sets of dishes we have here listed while the eBay listing sale is going on (2 more sets and we are done!) and I cherry picked a few cool things to post (including the McCoy cookie jar and plastic canister set that I posted about the other day):

Featured Collectible - 1970's Typographic Kitchenware
My latest little obsession is kind of hard to label - 1970's Typographic Kitchenware was the closest I could get - hopefully it is close enough! What I mean is those mod canisters, jars, and serving pieces that like to scream their intended use in large, bold letters. I've sold a few pieces in the past, and the more I find them the more I love them... First let's look at a few things I have up for sale at the moment:
I looked around eBay for some other typographic goodness to drool over - but I couldn't really find any. This is happening to me a lot these days - are the sellers just not listing stuff, or am I just not able to find it? Who knows! What I do know is that a quick search on Etsy brought up a TON of cool stuff. Etsy rocks vintage - and more and more people are finding that out every day!

100+ subscribers to my email newsletter?!?
I logged into my MadMimi account today and discovered I now have over 100 subscribers - you guys rock! Talk about feeling guilty about not sending one out in a while (as you can see from my header, the last one was #12 on August 31st - yikes!). I've had writers block, and my pleas for ideas on the Facebook Page didn't get any response... :(I have to pay $8/mo. now that I have more than 100 people on my list - that's $8 worth of motivation right there! So I'll be sending them out more regularly from now on, I promise. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see me cover in my emails, please leave a comment and let me know!
Also, they are offering a new feature where you can use your blog's RSS feed to send out emails to your list when you do new posts, it is $5 a month. Would that be something that you guys would like? If so let me know in the comments!

Vintage Dance Magazines - I've Got A LOT!
This week I have been up to my eyeballs in vintage Dance magazines from the 50's and 60's! I think I have three left to list, other than the stack that have condition issues (mostly missing pages) that I am not sure what I am going to do with... Either list them in lots or break them down for ephemera packs, I think...We are also working hard to list all the dish sets that I have in time for the holidays - hopefully some folks will be needing replacements or extras for their holiday dinners! Once those are done it will be time to break out the vintage Christmas decorations - so stay tuned! :)
